Frequently Asked Questions:
What is Operation Arctic Children’s Program?
Operation Arctic is a VBS curriculum designed by Answers in Genesis. At CFC’s Operation Arctic children’s program, we will use the curriculum in a modified way, to give kids a VBS-like experience in a family-oriented atmosphere, over the course of four weeks.
Can I drop my preschool or elementary child off and leave campus?
Definitely! We only ask that you sign the Liability and Medical Release portion of the registration form first. Adult classes will be taking place during the Children’s program that you are welcome to attend if you choose. Basically, we want to hang out with you, but understand if you need to do other things too.
Can my Jr. High or Sr. High student volunteer to help?
We would love that! Please have them fill out the volunteer application to get the ball rolling!
What if we cannot attend all four weeks?
No problem! Each week is set up to be standalone (for both adults and children).
What is the cost to attend?
There is no cost. We want you to come and bring a friend!
What can I expect when I come?
A great time of fellowship, fun and learning! There will be a chance to worship together as a family and hear a little bit of what the kids are doing, then we will divide up by age group. Elementary and preschool kids will head off for their Operation Arctic expedition, and adults will enjoy a class together.
What if I want to volunteer but cannot come to all four weeks?
No problem! There is a place for you to indicate which weeks you are available on the Volunteer Registration Form. Just like VBS, we will plan one or two training meetings before we get started so all our volunteers know what to expect. If you enjoyed volunteering at VBS, this will feel very similar.
